  1. I'm sure you know this, but Mike Lake is the Nominated Candidate in the riding of Edmonton-Mill Woods-Beaumont for the Conservative Party of Canada.

  2. And Mike Lake's NDP opponent is Neal Gray (you have a spelling error on his last name).

    Cheers.

  3. Another NDP note, the Edmonton - Leduc association has not yet nominated their candidate.

I do not believe it will be Marty Rybiak again though, he had indicated that he would not be running again.

  4. Danke.

    Attritions/Retentions noted.

  5. The Conservatives will sweep all of the seats.

The only fights will be in Edmonton Centre from the Liberals and Edmonton Strathcona from the NDP, but Canada's New Government will come up on top in Edmonton!

  6. As an Edmonton Strathcona person, I have started this blog...

    http://grofr.blogspot.com/

Its time to seriously start dealing with this.

  7. In the Wetaskiwin-Camrose riding, Blaine Calkins is running for re-election with the Conservative Party and Mike Heath is running for the Libertarian Party.

  8. The Liberal Wild Rose candidate is Jenn Turcott.

  9. Hi Dave:

Looks likes Ghazanfar Khan no longer a CAP candidate in Calgary East. The link from your post has also been deleted from their site.

    cheers!

    Nearly all will stay Conservative.

The race to watch will be in Edmonton-Strathcona between Linda Duncan and Rahim Jaffer. Duncan got over 17,000 votes in 2006 to Jaffer's 22,000. With another weak Liberal nominee she only stands to gain. Will be close.

  11. Isn't it the Christian Heritage Party rather than the Canadian Heritage Party?

  12. Libertarian Party leader Dennis Young is running in Calgary Southwest against Stephen Harper, not in Calgary West against Rob Anders.

  13. Ray Martin secured the NDP nomination in Edmonton East at an uncontested meeting on Friday night.

You can remove the "seeking" part from his name, he is now the NDP's official candidate there.

  14. Elections Canada is showing Naomi Rankin of the Communist Party of Canada as having been confirmed within Edmonton - Mill Woods - Beaumont.
