I saw An Inconvenient Truth last night and as a result Al Gore has gone up 3.9 points in my book.
I'm in Calgary today and tomorrow for meetings, so I'll comment on how awesome Al Gore's movie is this weekend (maybe? hopefully?).

My wife and I also caught that movie last night. It was really good! Perhaps a bit too long, given the lack of substance at certain points. I thought that the bits involving Gore's defeat in 2000 were a bit off-topic. I have a hard time believing the world's carbon emissions would be much lower if Gore had won the presidency...
ReplyDeleteMaybe they wouldn't be lower, but that 2000 montage goes a long way towards showing why Gore was inspired to do some soul-searching and go back to his pro-environment roots.
ReplyDeleteIt's all part of positioning him for his 2008 presidential bid.
ReplyDeleteI would roll my eyes at this point, but the sad truth is that there doesn't seem to be any serious potential Democratic candidate who is less ridiculous than Al. Maybe Feingold. Maybe. (My prediction? McCain defeats Clinton with 39 states.)
I can't think of any blog comment less ridiculous than yours, Annie Anonymous. :)
