It's funny how we always complain about what the government isn't doing for us. Compared to other countries, our government provides us with a lot of services (incl health care). Do we get the best bang for our buck? Probably not. But then again, you hear all the crying and outrage when the new government decides to "trim the fact" and pay down our huge national debt (with the resulting decreases in interest payment requirements).
Yes, we all pay taxes, deserve something in return, and do get services in return. But the government cannot pay for EVERYTHING.
