severely normal nova scotians.

Meet Linda and Tom Risk. The maritime couple are the key characters of the Nova Scotia Progressive Conservative Party's attack website against the NDP and come with their very own Facebook profiles (Linda and Tom). The couple appears to represent severely normal Nova Scotians and are very likely related to Rimbey, Alberta residents Martha and Henry.

The Nova Scotia General Election has been called for June 9, 2009 and is becoming a face-off between the PCs - led by Premier Rodney MacDonald - and the Nova Scotia NDP - led by Darrell Dexter. The Liberals are being led in this election by Stephen McNeil.

  1. Darrell Dexter will be Nova Scotia's new premier on June 9th, even the hardcore PC's on the ground seem to acknowledge this. The question now is how big of a mandate can he get and will he need to invite Stephen McNeil and crew into his cabinet?

  3. Yeah, that bastard Tommy Douglas ran straight balanced budgets through his term.

    What a dunce.

  4. That crazy Tommy Douglas not only ran straight balanced budgets, but made promises he couldn't keep, like implementing universal healthcare.
    Who wants that?
    Stupid NDP.

  5. Tommy Douglas should have listened to Ron Liepert. "Health Care is a business, not a welfare program."

  6. Dexter is going to win and become the first NDP Premier of Nova Scotia.

  7. The folks who wrote this risky business need to read up on Grant Devine, Mike Harris and Brian Mulroney.

  8. AND now Ed Stelmach. Don't forget Eddy "Biggest deficit ever" Stelmach.

  9. Mike Harris of course being a model of conservatism. Look at the mess McGuinty has made of Ontario. Bring back Harris.

Mulroney brought us free trade which isn't even questioned by even the Liberals today.

  10. Free trade isn't questioned? Seems to me Obama and Hilary Clinton both questioned the heck out of it last year.

Of course I can't imagine why they would want to harm a system where they can unjustly impose duties against Canadian lumber and then just ignore every single ruling that says they are in the wrong.

  11. The NDP is the biggest failed experiment in Canadian political history. Douglas drove out oil and gas investment to Alberta and stopped all choice in medical services. Then there's Barrett in BC with his bingo scandals, Glen Clark with his fast ferries - oh and wait, don't forget Bob Rae in Ontario.

  12. Don't forget Roy Romanow and all of his hospital closures too.
