Here is the story:

And not only that, he's about as far left as you can go.Not only are Klein's comments embarrassingly bush-league and uninformed, but they again point out his near complete lack of knowledge about American politics.
"The simple fact is America needs oil. They need gas. And unless he can find some other source, fine."
Klein has stirred controversy in the past by rejecting scientific data suggesting industrial pollution is one of the leading causes of global warming.
He has even said global warming trends that occurred millions of years ago may have been caused by "dinosaur farts."
I would suggest that Klein, or one of his hundred minions in the Public Affairs Bureau, simply check out the Wikipedia entries on Gore and global warming (source: Internet). Then he might not have to resort to cheap personal attacks when he disagrees with someone - especially when he is supposed to be representing Albertans in foreign capitals.
I have a new level of disrespect for Ralph Klein now.

Why don't you share some of the scientific evidence of Global Warming . . . along with the Climate Scientists Names who "believe" there is a threat? I remember 60 Climatologists and Paleoclimatologists sent a letter to the PM a few months back. THAT WAS 60!!!! Not Club Sierra or Suzzuki (Zoologist) who are raking in millions with this Kyoto Fraud. Supply us with some real facts other than a glacier is melting in Africa (been doing that for 100 years). Did you ever make a highball with ice cubes in it???? If you are slow to drink it did it overflow the glass??? Not likely, but you dumbasses all believe it will . . . right!!!

You are qouting a man who does not send his work to a peer reviewed journal first of all. There are many many theories on global warming, and that one is not supported by the majority of scientists. He does though believe in global warming, I find it curious you would offer a qoutation from someone who disagrees with your view. He just believes that smoke is protecting us from global warming (much like Rona Ambrose's smoke (and mirrors).
Then you quote Kenneth E. F. Watt from 1970. 1970? Really, you think this is current and pertinent to he discussion. This is science we are talking about, not history. At this point in human history we still had not understood plate tectonics.
You then proceed to quote a Alberta Conservative Environmental Minister (an oxymoron if there was one)from 8 years ago. No comment necessary as it is self explanatory given our current federal Environmental Minister.
Then you qoute someone obscure that has no pull at all in the scientific community. His view is one view on how to stop morons from destroying the environment through reckless ignorance of the world they live in. A view which has nothing to do with the science of global warming but is instead when political view of how to tackle the problem.
It's easy to copy and paste ex-NDP but the challenge is to actually read the works of these people if you trully intend to make a well thought, argument and proof based discussion.
I didn't get the chance to watch it, but I heard that nothing really earth-shattering happened, other than Lieberman throwing more shit Lamont's way in 1 hour than he has against Bush in 6 entire years. Which isn't too surprising, given how much practice that guy's gotten over the years by being sanctimonious towards fellow Democrats.
