I agree with you. This is much ado about nothing. If you want a real fiasco, take a look at the 1994 Alberta Liberal leadership race with the phone in system. As I recall, people in Brazil put Grant Mitchell over the top. Dave is probably too young to remember that.
I will be very interested to see how many of the Alberta Liberal nominations are contested in the upcoming provincial election as compared to how many PC Party nominations are contested. That will be a better guage on which party is more tapped into their grassroots.
Leave it to an anonymous Tory blog poster to draw the conclusion that a huge spelling error on Brian Heninger's campaign office sign has something to do with a leadership race that a different party held 13 years earlier. I love the logic.
And the Calgary Elbow nominationw as uncontested for both the Liberals and the Conservatives. The NDP were the only party with a contested nomination, that must mean they're going to form government.
Dave Cournoyer began blogging in 2005 while studying Political Science at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. In 2006, he was elected Vice-President (External) his Students’ Union and served as Chair of the Council of Alberta University Students until 2007. Since then, he has worked as Communication Coordinator for Alberta’s official opposition party and for various advocacy and public policy groups. As well as writing on this blog, Dave also occasionally writes for publications such as SEE Magazine.
Actually, the company that did it removed the sign before you posted about it. They are replacing it free of charge for their mistake.
