- Dave Cournoyer began blogging in 2005 while studying Political Science at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. In 2006, he was elected Vice-President (External) his Students’ Union and served as Chair of the Council of Alberta University Students until 2007. Since then, he has worked as Communication Coordinator for Alberta’s official opposition party and for various advocacy and public policy groups. As well as writing on this blog, Dave also occasionally writes for publications such as SEE Magazine.
CBC hyped it extensively...but I didn't find it worth the viewing.

Ms. May says "No Canadian government has ever fallen due to a Throne Speech. It is not usually seen as a confidence motion."
I guess she got half of that right. The Throne Speech is always considered a confidence motion.
Yet another example of why the Green party has been, and will continue to be, a place for people that want to truly waste their vote.
I expect most Liberals 'stopped paying attention' this week.

Ed Stelmach has been defending the existing royalty rates again.

He thinks that the current royalty regime has been successful given the development taking place in Alberta. Well Ed, when you give away the cow for free, they don't even have to worry about the price of milk now, do they?
This guy needs to be run out of office. He's been drinking the Klein-brand Kool Aid for way too long and thinks that we actually need to keep supporting the Oil & Gas industry's profits. How about some tax relief Ed? Why does the richest province in Federation have only a marginal tax benefit over the rest of the country, including some awfully poor places.
Make these companies start to pay a FAIR SHARE!
Stephane Dion has become my favorite comedian... too bad he's not trying to be one.

First he scares Marc Garneau out of politics altogether, by announcing he will hand pick the candidate (that worked well in Outremont, eh?), and then he spends the next several weeks wooing Mr. Garneau to BE said hand picked candidate.
This is what passes for good news in the Federal Liberal party these days? Hahahaha!
