salute to new alberta city & town!

Daveberta would like to salute the newly minted City of Brooks and Town of Onoway!

Today, both municipalities had their municipal status upgraded respectivly from Town to City, and from Village to Town. Congrats!

For those of you interested, in Alberta, there are now:

16 Cities
4 Specialized Municipalities
113 Towns
99 Villages
and 50 Summer Villages.

    My neighbor was just asking me about that the other day. What are the sixteen cities? And what are the 4 specialised municipalities?

    Hmmm. I've never been to both unless driving through Brooks on your way to Medicine Hat counts. I don't even know where the hell Onoway is.
