downloading the tar sands (for free).

I posted this on Twitter yesterday, but just in case you missed it, Andrew Nikiforuk's book 'Tar Sands: Dirty Oil & Future of a Continent' is available as a free pdf download until tomorrow (March 20, 2009).

    I wonder if Alberta-is-Bad books is an official industry and who will come out with the next one (the Greenpeace coffee table book?).

    It's too bad there's no middle ground here, I haven't read a realistic review of Nikiforuk's work which is riddled with errors, but gets a free pass. His early works were very good, but he's coasting on his reputation on this one.
